Biography

Born on 4 June 1976.

Professional Experience

Francesco Sindico is a Professor of International Environmental Law at the University of Strathclyde Law School in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom. He has served as Counsel for States and International Organisations before the International Court of Justice. His research and work focuses on Public International Law, with a special emphasis on climate change law. Francesco is the Co-Chair of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) World Commission on Environmental Law (WCEL) Climate Change Law Specialist Group and is an elected member of the Executive Board of the International Water Resources Association (IWRA).

Education

Francesco Sindico has a PhD in International Law from the Jaume I University in Castellon de la Plana, Spain (2011), an LLM in International Law and International Relations from the Autonoma University in Madrid (2003) and an LLB from the University of Turin (2001).
